One of the important directions of activity for Saorsa Global is the empowerment and support of young people, for which purpose we have implemented another successful socio-educational project. We sincerely thank the British Embassy for its loyal partnership and financial support. For the project “Youth Livelihoods – Create and Employ” 23 young people aged 18-29 living in Adjara were selected, who underwent a 60-hour specialized educational program over 3 months. It included 3 main module topics: career development and employability skills, financial literacy and entrepreneurship.
The project aimed to support young people's career development and improve their employability. Participants received individual career counseling and group psychotherapy to help them develop a career vision and action plan.
As part of one of the activities, the Entrepreneurship Week, young people visited enterprises operating in Adjara, and on March 29, the final event of the project and an employment forum were held at the Castello Mare Hotel. This was a unique opportunity for both young people and employers to get acquainted and connect. The outstanding participants of the project were ceremoniously awarded certificates and received internships and mentoring opportunities in their desired organizations.
We are proud that we have successfully achieved our goals and 23 young people, equipped with new professional skills, have confidently entered the employment market. We are glad that along with knowledge, we have also shared with them the values of our organization - freedom of choice and care for self-development.
