For the first time, Saorsa started the project "Voice of Rural Women I" in the Mountainous Adjara. Within the framework of the project, an informational meeting was held in Khulo Municipality. The main goals of the project “Rural Women’s Voice” were to: a) establish women’s and girl’s local initiatives groups; b) educate and strengthen the individual capacity of women and girls to proactively and accurately address their needs; c) develop linkages between municipalities and supporting agencies to ensure women’s and girl’s access to education and financing d) raise awareness on reproduction rights, labor rights and employment opportunities. 30 young girls and women from Keda, Shuakhevi and Khulo municipalities will undergo intensive 50 hours study course on civic engagement, financial literacy, labor and reproductive rights, social media marketing tools; employment skills and employment opportunities. The project is financially supported by the US Embassy in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Within the framework of the project, an entrepreneurship week is planned within Adjara.
