The 'Young Girls and Women's Political Career and Leadership' program launched on October 28, 2023, aims to advance professional and specialized skills of 36 young rural girls and women in political leadership and management, while also supporting their career progression.
36 women were chosen to participate in the inaugural event of the Regional Political Leadership Academy. The meeting brought together representatives from various sectors, who shared their valuable experiences and insights.
According to organizers, this project is set to continue with a range of activities, including the upcoming Gender Equality Forum. "Gender Equality – Decision-Making Modeling in Adjara" is organized by the NGO "Saorsa" and is financially supported by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development of Canada.
