The woman who survived

Liza Antadze, a member of the Saorsa team, became the winner of the feminist blog contest, whose article was about our graduate, Nazi Shainidze. Liza and Nazi, both are from Saorsa, whose joint creation we would like to share with you.
"My life is like a cracked pot full of roses, in which you have to pour water every day so that it doesn't empty, and you feel that you are reviving even though the roses have become herbarium." – Nazi Shainidze, a woman who survived. The general and daily existence of women in this world, often, or even from time to time, reveals those important emotional, social, economic or public concerns, or rather challenges, which at first glance are clear to everyone, but at the same time obscure and invisible. Yes, as invisible as women's work, achievements and their role in the process of creating prosperity.

It is difficult, very difficult to write a story, to tell a story about just one woman. Or rather, it is difficult to ask the questions that lead to trauma, to the depths of the past.

Hereby, I want to tell you a story about a woman who, the first time I met and heard, I said: Do people become so strong, courageous and authentic when their lives are turned upside down? Is a woman who has been through such a difficult path now so empowered? Is that true? I said then that Nazi's story is a story that, instead of becoming a statistic,
has become an inspiring and motivating story.

And here goes the story I would like to share about Nazi Shainidze, who lost her family due to a landslide in the village of Tsablana, Khulo municipality, on April 19, 1989. Father, two brothers and pregnant sister-in-law died. Also, a family of six uncles and other relatives. Nazi lost 15 close relatives during this tragedy.

Nazi Shainidze was born on May 16, 1967 in the village of Tsablana, Khulo municipality. After finishing school and professional college, she enrolled in the Faculty of Law at TSU, time when tragedy hit her along with indescribable misfortune. It was an event that cut Nazi off from reality, she lost contact with the outside world. She couldn't feel anything, she almost could not recognize people. During this period, she did not have a residential area, a house where she could live. The only place where Nazi could survive was a shelter at her relatives like a refugee. As she recalls those days, there was a time when she spent nights at the railway station as there was nowhere to go

Along with all this, Nazi lived in a time and space where there was no light, transport, bread, food. And if anything could be obtained, it was on the assignments, and above all the assigned amount was insufficient.

"At night, students took turns close the bakery to get some bread in order to avoid hunger. “Especially for 2 years, I didn't know when I and how I slept. My day and night were mixed with each other. Dreams and reality alternated with each other, and it was difficult for me to distinguish between them. Every step of mine was and is so painful that I always have a threshold of internal pain, no matter how happy I am, anyway. My life is like a cracked pot full of roses, in which you have to pour water every day so that it does not empty, and you feel that you are reviving even though the roses are become herbarium.

I knew from the age of 22 that I would never have a brother and I would never be an aunt. Then there was my marriage in Ukraine. The person to whom I confided my painful soul for the first time turned out to be a liar and a traitor. But I am a mother, I have a son named Amin". I had to raise him alone, which gave me more strength and I think I could do the impossible. And after that I started to live again in the open air with my son.

I think that a person should generally be harmless and love work, which is the most important thing in life. You should never do things out of greed. When I do something or do something to someone, I think like this, I want it and I do it. Therefore, I think all this should be selfless.

Women need to support each other and break free from stereotyped life. And do you know how? With such a movement, as the four seasons change of the year, smoothly alternate with each other, without pain. Nothing is impossible in this life. If something did not work out once, you should try a second time. The most important step a person can take to achieve a goal is to try. Trying is actually the most important element and without truing it is impossible to determine our abilities and skills.

A person's motivation, strength of desire and energy reveal the amount of effort and the degree of achievement of the goal. It is important to understand that it often does not happen as we want and need. Often, we just don't get something and this moment, for some reason, is decisive in most cases. It is crucial because following the path to the goal depends on the level of human motivation and the strength of desire. This is a very deep issue, since the motivation of a person depends on her and her attitude. It is important to understand that we need to try more; We need more energy and motivation. Often the desire, drive, motivation and attitude are so great that trying becomes the only way to achieve the goal. Everywhere and always, in any situation and condition, inspire yourself that trying is important; That giving up will not give us results, on the contrary, trying is valuable for us, and that there is no defeat, because in trying we get what is always a priority in life.
