Since May 2025, Saorsa Global has been implementing the project “Single Mother's Care Pay”, which is financially supported by the Women's Fund in Georgia. Our task was to draw public attention to single mothers and strengthen them in various directions. During communication with our beneficiaries, an important issue emerged - these women often did not have information about the municipal programs for them. This time we share with you the list of medical services for single mothers registered in Adjara. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara operates the following programs, the beneficiaries of which are also single mothers:
- Individual medical assistance to the population
- Joint replacement
- Outpatient diagnostic study
- Financing of treatment abroad for the population
- Additional medical services for patients with malignant tumors
- Co-financing of medical services for certain social categories of the population (intensive care component)
- Additional medical services for heart surgery
- Providing shelter for mothers and children.
Also, children of single mothers are beneficiaries of 4 children's medical and social rehabilitation programs.
We hope that the state will provide more and different types of assistance to single mothers and their children, as this is often vital for them.
