Caring for women's rights, promoting the visibility of their work, and economic empowerment are among the main directions of our organization.
To this end, we are implementing another project starting in January 2024. “50 Women, 50 Villages and the Power of Resilience”, which is financially supported by our loyal partner Women's Fund in Georgia.
We hosted the International Day of Peaceful Coexistence, May 16th. The event, where photographic portraits of 50 women living in 50 villages of all six municipalities of Adjara, taken within the framework of the project, were exhibited. The photos What followed were stories about the invisible work and perseverance of rural women. Their stories are unique and inspiring to all of us.
The event was attended by these women, who themselves told stories of their daily lives and struggles. Invited psychotherapist Mari Sharadze conducted a therapeutic session for them, which focused on awakening a new potential of the individual. Another session was planned for young girls and women living in rural areas.
We would like to remind you that the goal of the project “50 Women, 50 Villages and the Power of Resilience” is to empower young girls and women living in 50 villages in the Adjara region to build feminist leadership and establish a non-violent environment.
