Saorsa Global's new socio-educational project "Supporting Inclusive Voices in the Adjara Region"“

One of the goals of Saorsa Global is to support vulnerable groups in society, such as people with disabilities and special needs and their families. It is precisely with their empowerment that we created

The socio-educational project “Supporting Inclusive Voices in Adjara”, which we are implementing within the framework of the Georgian Young Lawyers Association project „Creating Social Capital by Strengthening CSOs and Strengthening Local Networks“, with the support of the German International Cooperation (GIZ) program “Strengthening Civil Society in the Eastern Partnership”, which is co-financed by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and the European Union.“

The project is intended for children, adolescents and their families with special needs and disabilities living in Kobuleti and Keda municipalities. The project aims to protect the socio-economic rights of this social group and increase their level of involvement in the decision-making process.

Why did we create this project?

We know that people with disabilities and persons with disabilities and their families face many challenges in their daily lives. Since they have insufficient information or often do not know at all about the state and municipal services available to them, Saorsa Global has set a goal to inform them. These services are aimed at improving the quality of life of people with disabilities and persons with disabilities, which includes their involvement in education, social integration, strengthening skills and much more. Also, parents of these people can participate in budget planning and submit initiatives.

Project activities include an online educational program on the rights of persons with disabilities and MSDs, civic engagement, and service delivery, as well as psychoeducation and work on emotional intelligence for parents, etc.

We invite parents of disabled and special needs children living in Kobuleti and Keda to participate in the project. To do this, contact us at our On the Facebook page.
